DV Engineering uses a metal pressing process that uses dies to transform flat metal sheets into precise shapes. This process is used for producing parts for large machinery, but the metal sheets can also be moulded into shapes for household items like pots and pans. Our metal stamping machines cast, punch, cut and shape metal sheets to create three-dimensional shapes. A flat sheet of metal is inserted into a die and then a mechanical press is activated to imprint the shape into the metal and create the object.
Over the past few years, DV Engineering's metal stamping has been replacing other metal forming processes (such as forging and die casting) because of the production costs we are able to offer. The products made in our metal pressing process can also be stronger and more durable than those made in other metal forming processes.
Metal pressings are used in a variety of industries because parts can be turned out at a very high rate which is also good for overall production times and costs.
